Red fermented rice ("red mold rice") is widespread, especially in China. To do this, rice is mixed with the fungus Monascus purpureus, which gives it its characteristic, intense red color. In addition to its function as a food, it is also part of traditional Chinese health care.

Each vegetarian capsule contains 250 mg Monascus purpurea extract 15:1* with 10 mg monacolin K in combination with 248 mg artichoke powder and 200 µg folic acid, which synergistically support the monacolin K.

The raw material for manufacturing the capsule shell is obtained from vegetable cellulose and is gelatin-free.
