Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray 10ml
- The active substances used in the medicine are xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol. Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray is intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Composition of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray:
Active substances: xylometazoline hydrochloride, dexopanthenol. One ml of solution contains 1mg xylometazoline hydrochloride, 50mg dexopanthenol. One dose of nasal spray (0.1ml) contains 0.1mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0mg dexpanthenol and other ingredients: potassium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, water for injections.
Action of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray:
The medicinal product in the form of nasal spray Sudafed Xylospray DEX contains two active substances - xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol. Xylometazoline hydrochloride is responsible for constricting the nasal mucosa and reducing swelling. Thanks to the addition of dexopanthenol, the drug protects the nasal mucosa and accelerates morning healing.
Application:
Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray indicated for the treatment of nasal mucosal damage, to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in rhinitis; to relieve the symptoms of non-allergic mucositis (vasomotor rhinitis); in the treatment of obstruction of the nasal passages after nasal surgery. Preparation for adults and children over 6 years of age.
Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Only one person should use one package.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use below 6 years of age. Do not use during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use in the case of dry rhinitis with scab formation (rhinitis sicca). Do not use after transsphenoidal pituitary gland removal or other surgical procedures that expose the dura mater.
Side effects of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray:
Some people may experience side effects while using the spray. Uncommon: hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. swelling of the skin and mucous membranes, skin rash, itching); rare: palpitations, tachycardia, hypertension (high blood pressure); very rare: anxiety, difficulty falling asleep, fatigue (drowsiness, sedation), headache, hallucinations (mainly in children), arrhythmias (arrhythmias), swelling of the nasal mucosa (after stopping treatment), nosebleeds, convulsions (mainly in children); not known: burning and dryness of the nose, sneezing.
Dosage of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray:
Use as directed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. Read the package leaflet before use. Recommended dose for adults and children over 6 years of age: one spray in each nostril, use up to three times a day. Do not exceed the recommended doses. Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's sensitivity and clinical response. It is not recommended to use the drug for more than 7 days. Applications can only be restarted after a few days break. If the symptoms do not improve or get worse after 7 days of using the spray, contact your doctor. The drug should be administered under adult supervision in children under 12 years of age.
