Caelo Refined Castor Oil

Composition: 100g Caelo Refined Castor Oil contain 100g Refined Castor Oil.

For short-term use in constipation.

Contraindications: Refined castor oil must not be used in the case of intestinal obstruction, acute inflammatory diseases of the intestine (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or appendicitis), abdominal pain of unknown cause, bile duct diseases and severe fluid deficiency in the body with water and salt losses. There is insufficient information on pregnancy and lactation. Refined castor oil should therefore not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Refined castor oil should not be consumed by children under the age of 10.

Side effects: In rare cases, skin rashes may occur. In this case, you should stop taking the medicine. In addition, occasional gastric irritations and, with higher doses, nausea, vomiting, painful intestinal cramps and severe diarrhea can occur. In these cases, a dose reduction is required. Chronic use/abuse can result in increased loss of water and salts (electrolyte losses), particularly potassium. This can lead to cardiac dysfunction and muscle weakness.

Precautions and warnings: Taking stimulant laxatives beyond short-term use can lead to increased constipation. Refined castor oil should only be used if no laxative effect can be achieved through a change in diet or bulking agent preparations.
