Allertec Foxill is a topical
gel. Allertec Foxill contains the active substance dimethindene maleate, which inhibits the action of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic reactions.
Composition:
The active substance is dimethindene maleate.
One gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimethindene maleate.
Other ingredients are: carbomer (type 974 P), disodium edetate, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, and purified water.
Indications and Action:
The drug has a local anti-allergic, strong antipruritic effect (excluding cholestatic pruritus), reduces swelling, and soothes skin irritation.
It also has local anesthetic properties.
It has a cooling effect, further soothing irritated skin.
Dosage:
Usually, unless otherwise directed by a doctor, apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected and itchy skin area 2 to 4 times daily.
Use in children: Avoid use on infants and young children (under 2 years of age) on large areas of skin.
