  • Altabactin ointment contains up to two active substances, these are antibiotics - bacitracin and neomycin. The drug is used in the topical treatment of bacterial infections in small areas of the skin.

Altabactin Composition:
1g of ointment contains - 250 IU bacitracin (Bacitracinum) in the form of zinc bacitracin and neomycin 5mg (Neomycinum) in the form of neomycin sulfate. Excipient with known effect: lanolin.

Altabactin Action:
The ointment Altabacin used a combination of two antibiotics - bacitracin and neomycin. Operation of neomycin is based on the reduction of protein synthesis in the bacterial cell. Bacitracin is an antibiotic with bactericidal activity.

Altabactin Function:

Altabactin Additional information:
It should not be used concurrently with ointment Altabactin aminoglycoside antibiotics for systemic effect, because there is a risk of cumulative toxicity. Contraindications:
