- AMBROSOL. Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract with thick, excessively sticky secretion, chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, atelectasis as a result of bronchial obstruction by the mucus, post-operative pulmonary complications.
Composition AMBROSOL:
The active substance AMBROSOL is: ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) contains
15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
AMBROSOL Other ingredients are: sorbitol liquid of 70% (E420), glycerol (E422), citric acid
monohydrate (E330), propylene glycol (E1520), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218),
propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), strawberry flavor, purified water
Action AMBROSOL:
The drug has secretolytic and mucolytic properties, causes thinning mucus, facilitates expectoration of sputum, secondarily may lead to a decrease in cough.
AMBROSOL indications:
Acute and chronic diseases of the airways with dense, excessively sticky secretion, chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, atelectasis as a result of bronchoconstriction by mucus, pulmonary complications after operations and in the course of anesthesia, after diagnostic procedures in the bronchial tree, nosocarrier diseases.
Contraindications AMBROSOL :
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Active peptic ulcer of the stomach or duodenum. The preparation should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.
AMBROSOL Dosage:
Orally. The daily dose should be administered in 2 doses. In chronic treatment, the recommended daily dose for children is 1.2-1.6 mg / kg. Children: 1-2 years - 15 mg / day; 3-4 years - 15-30 mg / day; 5-6 years - 30 mg / day; 7-12 years - 30-45 mg / day. Children over 12 years and adults 60-120 mg daily. For treatment lasting longer than 7-14 days the dose is reduced to half.
Comments AMBROSOL:
The preparation should not be used with antitussive medicines. The syrup should be taken during an injured and southern meal, do not use in the evening. Thoroughly expectorate or suck up bronchial secretions. The preparation can be used by diabetics.
