APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION:
AMBROXOL AL 30 tablets are best swallowed whole with sufficient liquid after meals. The tablet can be divided into equal doses due to the score line on one side.
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dosages apply:
- Children from 6 to 12 years: usually ½ tablet 2 to 3 times a day (corresponds to 30 - 45 mg ambroxol hydrochloride / day)
In children, the immune system is not yet fully developed. The body's own defense has to develop over the years before there is an effective protective mechanism against pathogens. At the latest when the children start school or kindergarten, respiratory infections are no longer uncommon. AMBROXOL AL 30 can be used in children from 6 years of age.
Avoiding infection Especially in autumn and winter, many people suffer from colds, headaches and sore throats. Later the cough comes in, which can last for weeks. As a rule, cold viruses are responsible for a disease of the respiratory tract with thick mucus. General hygiene measures such as frequent hand washing can reduce the risk of infection.

- Adults and adolescents from 12 years: usually 1 tablet 3 times a day during the first 2-3 days (corresponds to 90 mg ambroxol hydrochloride / day), then 1 tablet 2 times a day (corresponds to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride / day)
Note:
The effectiveness can be increased by increasing the adult dose to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride twice a day (corresponds to 120 mg ambroxol hydrochloride / day).
