Amorolfin works reliably for nail fungus
Nail fungus is a common ailment and many people in Germany are affected by it. The risk of infection increases, especially in older people. One of the reasons for this is that their immune system is often weaker than that of younger people. Circulatory disorders can also be added as a risk factor. Nail fungus often occurs when a previous infection of athlete's foot or a fungus on hands or fingers has not been treated. This allows the fungal infection to spread unhindered to one or more nails. Amorolfine is a proven active ingredient in nail fungus therapy. ratiopharm's medicated clear colorless to light yellow nail polish containing amorolfine works by inhibiting the growth of the fungus and destroying the fungal coat, causing the fungus to die.

After application, the active ingredient is absorbed deep into the affected nail and develops its long-term effect there. Therefore, it is sufficient if the treatment is carried out once a week. The depot property of Amorolfin-ratiopharm ® 5% nail polish containing active ingredients is particularly advantageous because the treatment of nail fungus is very lengthy. If the fingernails are affected, treatment can last up to six months. More often, however, nail fungus occurs on the foot, as it can develop there from an untreated athlete's foot. Here, the duration of treatment is sometimes even nine to twelve months, since the fungus has to grow out with the nail.

How to protect yourself from nail fungus infection
Poor hygiene in humid places, such as public swimming pools or saunas, significantly increases the likelihood of nail fungus infection. You should therefore never walk barefoot in public bathhouses, but use flip-flops instead. Bath towels, bed linen and socks should also always be washed at 60°C to remove any fungal spores. Tight shoes or socks made of synthetic fibers should also be avoided. Shoes should be changed from time to time so that they can always dry completely. In a humid environment, fungal spores multiply extremely quickly. People with certain risk factors should take these recommendations particularly seriously. These include people suffering from diabetes or people with circulatory disorders or immunodeficiency. Regular foot and nail care is advisable anyway and an ideal opportunity to quickly notice the first signs of a fungal infection. Nail fungus should be taken seriously - and the sooner an infection is treated, the faster you can get rid of it. Amorolfin ratiopharm® 5% Medicated Nail Polish is a good choice and increases your chances of a full cure.
