Antidiarrheal medication Stoperan Junior 0.2 mg/ml fruit flavor 90 ml

Stoperan

Junior is an antidiarrheal medication in the form of an oral solution containing 0.2 mg of loperamide hydrochloride. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea in adults and children over 6 years of age.

Stoperan

Junior reduces excessive intestinal peristalsis, prolongs intestinal transit time, and increases the absorption of water and electrolytes. It effectively relieves diarrhea, usually within a few hours. The solution has a pleasant, fruity flavor, making it easy to administer to children.

Indications

: Stoperan Fast is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea when effective causal treatment is not possible. The drug is indicated for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.

Dosage:

How to use Stoperan Junior? The drug is contraindicated for use in children under 6 years of age. Use with caution in children under 12 years of age due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy. Loperamide should be used with caution in younger children due to the greater variability of response to the drug in this patient group.

Adults

Acute diarrhea: Initially, 4 mg loperamide (20 ml solution = 4 scoops), then 2 mg loperamide (10 ml solution = 2 scoops) after each loose stool, as long as diarrhea persists. Never take more than 16 mg loperamide (80 ml = 16 scoops) in one day.
Chronic diarrhea: On the first day, use 4 mg loperamide (20 ml solution = 4 scoops) per day. Then, depending on the severity of the symptom, the daily dose should be individually adjusted to achieve 1 to 2 firm bowel movements per day. Usually, 2 mg loperamide (10 ml solution = 2 scoops) to 12 mg loperamide (60 ml solution = 12 scoops) per day is sufficient for this purpose. Be careful never to take more than 16 mg of loperamide (80 ml = 16 scoops) per day.

Children aged 8 to 17 years

Acute diarrhea: Treatment should be initiated with 2 mg of loperamide (10 ml of solution = 2 scoops). Then, after each loose stool, take 2 mg of loperamide (10 ml of solution = 2 scoops) for as long as diarrhea persists. Stoperan Junior treatment should be discontinued as soon as bowel movements become normal or if no bowel movements occur within 12 hours.
Chronic diarrhea: On the first day, use 2 mg of loperamide (10 ml of solution = 2 scoops) per day. Then, depending on the severity of the symptom, the daily dose should be individually adjusted to achieve a firm bowel movement 1 to 2 times a day. Usually, a dose of 2 mg of loperamide (10 ml of solution = 2 scoops) to 12 mg of loperamide (60 ml of solution = 12 scoops) per day is sufficient for this purpose. The maximum dose a child can take in a day depends on their body weight. For a 10 kg body weight, a child should not take more than 3 mg of loperamide (15 ml = 3 scoops) per day. Care should be taken to never take more than 16 mg of loperamide (80 ml = 16 scoops) per day.
