Viruzine Forte is an antiviral drug that increases the body's resistance (it stimulates the activity of the immune system).
Viruzine Forte contains the active substance - inosine pranobex, which inhibits the in vitro multiplication of herpes viruses pathogenic to humans.

Indications for the use of Viruzine Forte:
supportively in people with reduced immunity, in the case of recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract,
in the treatment of lip and facial skin herpes caused by the herpes simplex virus. Viruzine Forte can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex infection in the past.
If you do not feel better or feel worse after 5 to 14 days, you should contact your doctor.
Active substance: Inosinum pranobexum
Composition Antiviral drugs, inosine pranobex hpv, Viruzine Forte:
The active substance is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1:3). One tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobex.
The other components of the drug (excipients) are: potato starch, mannitol, povidone K-30, magnesium stearate.

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years of age): The recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day. The usual dose is 3 tablets (3 g) per day (i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day). 4 tablets (4 g) per day (i.e. 1 tablet 4 times a day).

Children over 1 year of age The recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight daily, administered in several divided doses. For children unable to swallow tablets, inosine pranobex syrup is recommended. Method of administration: Oral use. the tablet is only to help break the tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole. Duration of treatment: The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 14 days. After the symptoms have subsided, treatment with this medicine is usually continued for 1 to 2 more days.
When should you not take Viruzine Forte tablets? If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance (inosine pranobex) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Signs of an allergic reaction may include: rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue. If you are currently suffering from a gout attack (severe joint pain with swelling and redness of the skin and effusion in the large joints) or tests have shown that the level of uric acid in your blood has been increased.
