How ASS STADA ® 100 mg gastro-resistant tablets work
The ASS STADA ® 100 mg gastro-resistant tablets contain acetylsalicylic acid, which, as an active ingredient, has an anti-aggregation effect against platelets. "Platelets" are very small cells in the blood that cause the blood to clot. If a blood clot occurs in an artery, it stops the blood flow and prevents the supply of oxygen. Platelets can thus result in thrombosis. If too little oxygen reaches the heart, it can lead to a heart attack or angina pectoris (pain in the chest area). In the brain, thrombosis can lead to a stroke. The acetylsalicylic acid prevents the formation of such blood clots.

Dosage of the ASS STADA ® 100 mg gastro-resistant tablets

In elderly patients who are more prone to side effects, the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid should be used with caution and only with regular review of the treatment.
