Heparin axicur® 30,000 IU Ointment
Support for acute swelling

Helps reduce swelling
Bruises and contusions (hematomas) are common blunt injuries resulting from, for example, a minor fall or after bumping into objects. This is not only accompanied by pain, but is usually also followed by swelling at the affected area. Swelling is a blunt injury caused by a blood clot or metabolic waste products that accumulate in the tissue due to external pressure. Heparin axicur 30,000 IU ointment is a proven aid in reducing swelling resulting from bruises and contusions. The ointment provides targeted support and reduction of swelling at the site of the blunt injury. Thanks to the decongestant properties of

heparin
, the healing of bruises and contusions is supported, and swelling is alleviated. This occurs by promoting the drainage and breakdown of accumulated tissue fluids.

For the supportive treatment of swelling and superficial thrombophlebitis, the higher-dose Heparin axicur 60,000 IU ointment is also available.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Heparin axicur 30,000 IU ointment should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap after application.

Heparin axicur 30,000 IU ointment should not be used for longer than 10 days.
If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What should I do immediately after getting a bruise?
The so-called "RICE" rule (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) makes it easy to understand which initial measures are appropriate in the case of a bruise, for example, due to a fall:

1. Rest:1. Immobilize the affected area as quickly as possible. Lie down or sit down and be careful not to put any weight on the area.

2. Ice: Cooling is essential to reduce pain and swelling. Ice packs or cold compresses are particularly suitable for this. However, do not place them directly on the injured area; instead, place a cloth or similar material between the ice pack and the injured area.

3. Compression: If possible, wrap the affected area in a compression bandage to prevent potential bleeding.

4. Elevation: Ideally, elevate the injured body part above heart level to further reduce blood flow. These are first-aid measures; ideally, you should consult a doctor, especially if the symptoms worsen.
