BACTIGRAS antiseptic paraffin wound gauze 10x10 cm
pack size:10 pcs Dosage form:wound gauze.
BACTIGRAS is a soft paraffin gauze dressing with chlorhexidine that acts as a barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing.
This enables an atraumatic dressing change for the patient. The open dressing structure allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing.
A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage.
BACTIGRAS is effective against a wide range of germs and thus reduces the risk of germs colonizing the wound.
BACTIGRAS antiseptic paraffin wound gauze:
BACTIGRAS contains an antiseptic (0.5% chlorhexidine acetate) with a broad spectrum of activity. Therefore, the bandage can be used for infection prophylaxis and treatment. Due to the white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS serves as a protection against adhesion between the wound and the secondary dressing. This enables an atraumatic dressing change for the patient. Due to the open dressing structure of the cotton gauze, wound exudate can easily drain into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent pad. A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage.
BACTIGRAS antiseptic paraffin wound gauze:
- Permeable to air and exudate to avoid skin maceration
- Ointment coating protects wound surface and edges
- Allows atraumatic dressing changes and undisturbed rest of the wound
- Antiseptic with a broad spectrum of activity
- Secondary bandage required (depending on the amount of exudate, use eg absorbent pads, film bandages such as OPSITE™ FLEXIFIX or fixation bandages)
- Latex-free formulation
