1. WHAT IS NATUBIOTIN AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Natubiotin is a vitamin supplement. Natubiotin is used to prevent biotin deficiency. (Less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day is sufficient for prevention.)

2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE NATUBIOTIN:

Do not take Natubiotin if you are sensitive (allergic) to biotin or any of the other ingredients of Natubiotin.

When taking Natubiotin with other medicines:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. There is evidence that medicines for seizures (anticonvulsants) lower the level of biotin in the blood plasma. Please note that this may also apply to medicines you have recently taken

Driving and operating machinery:
No impairments are known.

Important information about certain other ingredients of Natubiotin:
This medicine contains lactose. Therefore, please only take Natubiotin after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

3. HOW TO TAKE NATUBIOTIN:

Always take Natubiotin exactly as described in this leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is: Take 1 Natubiotin tablet daily (equivalent to 5 mg biotin). For prophylaxis, less than 0.2 mg biotin per day is sufficient. Preparations with a lower biotin content are available for lower doses. Please swallow the tablets whole with sufficient liquid.

If you have taken more Natubiotin than you should:
Poisoning and symptoms of overdose are not known.

If you forget to take Natubiotin:
Do not take a double dose. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Natubiotin can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The following categories are used as a basis for the frequency data on side effects:
Very common: More than 1 in 10 patients
Common: 1 to 10 in 100 patients
Occasionally: 1 to 10 treated out of 1,000
Rarely: 1 to 10 treated out of 10,000
Very rare: Less than 1 in 10,000 treated
Not known: Frequency cannot be estimated based on the available data.



Possible side effects:
Very rarely, allergic skin reactions (hives) have been reported. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of the listed side effects become serious or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet.

5. HOW TO STORE NATUBIOTIN

Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton/container after ###EXP###. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Storage conditions:
Store in the original package in order to protect from light.

6. FURTHER INFORMATION

What Natubiotin contains:
The active substance is biotin.
1 tablet contains 5 mg biotin.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, povidone K 30, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate.

Natubiotin is available in original packs of 50 and 100 tablets.
