fungal infections of the skin or feet with Canesten ® cream
With every second athlete's foot disease, the nails are attacked and with it, nail fungus. But also untreated skin fungus can spread to several parts of the body or be transmitted to other people. Consequences that one likes to do without. It is therefore important to treat fungal infections of the skin or feet as quickly as possible. You can do that with Canesten ® Creme: A product that is effective for various areas of application.
Fungal diseases (mycoses) are possible both on the skin and on the mucous membrane. Different groups of pathogens are able to trigger these fungal skin infections:
• Dermatophytes
• Yeasts
• Molds
Canesten ®Cream helps treat the different types of pathogens on parts of the body such as between the toes or fingers. The Canesten ® cream not only treats the symptoms such as itching, burning, redness, cracked skin and flaking, but also the causes.
You should start therapy as soon as it is discovered to prevent the fungus from spreading or infecting other people. To do this, wash the affected area of the body before use and dry it carefully. Used towels should be washed thoroughly afterwards to prevent the germs from spreading. Now apply a sufficient amount of the cream (half a centimeter of cream for an area the size of the palm of your hand).
Repeat this two to three times a day for a period of at least four weeks (depending on the extent and location of the infestation). Even if symptoms such as itching or reddening usually subside after three days, there are still pathogens in the skin. To avoid a repeated outbreak of the fungal disease, do not stop using it prematurely.
The consequences of overdosing the cream are not known. If you forget an application, continue the treatment as prescribed. If you are looking for an even more comfortable therapy, consider the Canesten ® Extra Cream [link on product page] with the active ingredient bifonazole instead . Due to the long skin retention time of the bifonazole, the Canesten ®Extra cream in contrast to Canesten ® cream (or other creams with the active ingredient clotrimazole) can only be applied once a day and is therefore more convenient to use for skin and athlete's foot.
