- This medicine is a tear substitute and contains the film-forming agent carmellose sodium. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye (such as pain, burning, irritation, or dryness). If you do not feel better or if you feel worse, consult your doctor.
How does the active ingredient in the medication work?
The active ingredient in the medication is carmellose sodium. Carmellose sodium increases the viscosity and thus the residence time of the medication in the eye and is used to treat dry eyes.

4 mg Carmellose sodium salt
+ (RS)-Lactic acid, sodium salt
+ Calcium chloride dihydrate
+ Potassium chloride
+ Sodium chloride

- The drug is applied to the eye.
- Ensure the single-dose container is intact before use. Once opened, the solution should be used immediately. To avoid contamination or injury to the eye, do not allow the open end of the single-dose container to come into contact with your eye or anything else. Wash your hands before use.
- Separate one single-dose container from the strip.
- Hold the single-dose container upright (with the cap pointing upwards) and twist off the cap.
- Gently pull down your lower eyelid until a pocket forms. Hold the single-dose container with the opening facing downwards and squeeze the container until one drop falls into each eye. Open and close your eyes a few times.
- Do not reuse the single-dose container, even if some solution remains. It is very important that you discard the single-dose container and do not keep it.
- Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The usual dose, when needed, is 1-2 drops in the affected eyes.
- If irritation, pain, redness or changes in vision occur, or if you feel that your condition is worsening, stop using this medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you have applied a larger amount than you should
- If you have used more of this medicine than you should, there is no danger. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

If you forgot to use the application
- Apply the next dose as needed or at the regular time specified by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous single dose.
