The recommended dose is:

Children from 1 - 3 years:
- 1 ml of this medicine 3 times a day (equivalent to 175 mg of ivy leaves per day)

Children from 4 - 12 years:
- 1.5 ml of this medicine 3 times a day (equivalent to 260 mg of ivy leaves per day)

Adults and young people aged 12 and over:
- 2 ml of this medicine 3 times a day (equivalent to 350 mg of ivy leaves per day)

Children from 1 - 3 years:
- There is insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in the case of impaired kidney/liver function.

- Do not take the preparation for more than a few days without medical advice.
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

If you take more than you should
- Consuming 1-2 ml of juice more than recommended usually has no consequences. Ingestion of significantly higher amounts can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and restlessness.
- A 4-year-old child developed aggressiveness and diarrhea after accidentally ingesting an ivy extract equivalent to 1800 mg of a herbal drug. In this case, you should consult your doctor.

If you forget to take a dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose, but continue to take it as directed by your doctor or as described in the package leaflet.

Possible side effects:
- Gastrointestinal complaints (e.g. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) can often occur.
- Occasionally, after taking medicines containing ivy, allergic skin reactions, e.g. B. skin rash (exanthema), hives (urticaria), skin redness, itching, or serious systemic allergic conditions, z. B. with swelling, shortness of breath occur.
- At the first sign of a hypersensitivity reaction, the drug should not be taken again. If necessary, consult a doctor.

Contraindications

The drug must not be taken
- if you are allergic to ivy, plants from the Araliaceae family, e.g. g. schefflera, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
- The drug should not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there are insufficient studies.

Warnings and Precautions
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
- A doctor should be consulted in the event of fever, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum as well as complaints that last longer than 1 week or unclear symptoms.
- The drug should not be taken together with cough suppressants such as B. codeine or dextromethorphan can be applied.
- Patients with inflammation of the gastric mucosa (gastritis) or stomach ulcers require particular caution when taking it, since ivy preparations can cause irritation of the gastric mucosa.
