The active ingredients are calcium acetate and heavy magnesium carbonate.
Each film-coated tablet contains 435 mg calcium acetate (equivalent to 110 mg calcium) and 235 mg heavy magnesium carbonate (equivalent to 60 mg magnesium).
The other ingredients are: modified starch (from corn), corn starch, sucrose, gelatin, croscarmellose sodium and magnesium stearate, castor oil refined, hypromellose.

OsvaRen® is used to treat high blood phosphate levels in patients with chronic kidney failure who are undergoing dialysis (blood washing) (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis).
OsvaRen® belongs to a group of drugs known as phosphate binders.
Phosphate is a mineral that affects bone health.
In the case of impaired kidney function, there are generally also high phosphate levels in the blood. This can lead to bone problems.
OsvaRen® binds phosphate and thus balances your phosphate levels.
