Minerals, the Universe and You
What are minerals anyway? Minerals are nothing more than elements - the same elements that are on the periodic table in a high school chemistry textbook, such as chromium, magnesium, iron and zinc. These are the elements that make up the entire universe, the earth and everything on earth, including us humans. Your body is truly a work of art made up of these elements. Therefore, it is important that your body is supplied with these elements on a daily and continuous basis. Chemical and electrical processes are occurring in your body at every moment. These processes can only function correctly if minerals are continuously supplied to your system in the right proportions. Iron for your blood, magnesium for your muscles, calcium for your bones, as well as a collection of many other elements in balanced amounts help ensure the proper functioning of the body.
What are ions?
An ion is a mineral or element that has a positive or negative charge. On a molecular level, it means that the element has either too many or too few electrons. This unstable, ionic state allows the element to easily bind with water so that it can be absorbed by the body. In this state, it has specific positive and negative electrical charges that cause a dynamic equilibrium. The body can then more easily transport nutrients to the areas where they are most needed. Every second of every day, your body relies on ionic minerals and trace elements to generate billions of tiny electrical impulses.
The leaching of the earth
In the past, eating fresh grains, fruits and vegetables grown in nutrient-rich soil was the primary source of a full spectrum of ionic minerals. Unfortunately, naturally nutrient-rich soil is rare today. Eons of vegetation growth and aggressive modern agriculture have brought the minerals contained in the soil to the surface, where they have been washed away. Synthetic fertilizers are routinely applied to farms and fields where the soil is depleted of minerals. But synthetic fertilizers only provide enough mineral substance to support basic growth. Many trace minerals essential to our lives are not replenished.
What happened to all the minerals?
Many of the trace elements that were once abundant in the soil have been washed out to sea. In the sea, they exist in the correct proportions - the same basic proportions that exist in a healthy human body. In the few surviving inland lakes, such as the Great Salt Lake in western North America, these essential elements exist in highly concentrated, beneficial proportions. In seawater, an artfully balanced ratio of minerals and trace elements exists. These life-sustaining seawaters now contain all the minerals and elements necessary to support human life. Most importantly, these minerals and elements are in ionic form and in perfect balance.
The Secret of Life in a Dead Lake
The Great Salt Lake in the western part of the USA is the oldest inland lake in the world and a remnant of the last great ice age. Minerals and trace elements from the surrounding Rocky Mountains have been accumulating and concentrated there for tens of thousands of years. The result is nutrient-rich water that contains over 72 ionic minerals and trace elements - eight to ten times more concentrated than in normal sea water - in the same ratio as in healthy body fluids.
The elements and trace minerals in SunSplash ConcenTrace® Liquid Minerals and SunSplash Kids Multi-Min Liquid are extracted from this using a special process.
ConcenTrace® Liquid Minerals
ConcenTrace® Liquid Minerals is a natural mineral concentrate extracted using ConcenFloTM, a proprietary extraction process, with 99% of its salt content removed.
ConcenTrace Liquid Minerals is therefore suitable for both normal and low-sodium diets.
ConcenTrace® Liquid Minerals is a natural and highly concentrated product that contains no preservatives, flavors or sweeteners and has a very strong taste. We recommend mixing it with water, juice or food and dividing the daily requirement into several meals. ConcenTrace Liquimins
Start with 10 drops for 3 days. Then increase the amount by 10 drops each day up to 30 drops (about 1/2 teaspoon) daily.
