Cough Cough
is usually an unspecific symptom of respiratory infections and should be treated as early as possible. The warmth of our beeswax and cough chest wraps, which soothes coughs and loosens secretions, is effective and easy to use. Appropriate clothing (wool if possible), drinking a lot (warm tea) and increasing footbaths in the evening are also recommended. Please note: if you have a persistent cough, high fever and/or unusual breathing noises, please seek competent help!

The thyme appears small and somewhat inconspicuous at first; but the little plant is full of the scent and healing powers of essential oils! Since time immemorial, it has been one of the most important medicinal plants for acute coughs, whooping cough and asthma. Its most important ingredients (at least 1.2% essential oil, tannins, flavonoids) have germ-inhibiting and secretion-dissolving properties and have an antispasmodic effect. Thyme is traditionally used in tea, baths, extracts, hot moist or oil dressings. Thyme is the only medicinal plant to have received a positive assessment from Commission E for use in whooping cough.
