A doctor should be consulted in the event of persistent or unclear symptoms, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum and fever that lasts longer than 3 days or rises above 39 °C. Husteel should only be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor. Since there is not enough documented experience, the drug should
not be used in children under the age of 1 year.
