Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) are native to North America, botanically they belong to the heather family and are related to our native lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis idaea).
The cranberry, which is also known as the large-fruited cranberry, contains secondary plant substances, including the so-called proanthocyanidins. Cranberries were already highly valued as a food by the North American natives.
Cranberry Talers contain a concentrate of cranberries together with vitamin C. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
The fruity, slightly tart tasting cranberries are gently concentrated and processed with other fruit concentrates to make cranberry Talers.
Each tablet contains 12 mg proanthocyanidins (PAC) and 100 mg vitamin C.
