Sore throat - origin & symptoms
While adults are affected by colds about two to three times a year, children are affected up to 13 times a year. Talking, sneezing, coughing - all of these can lead to the common cold virus being transmitted via droplet infection. Symptoms such as cough, fatigue and severe sore throat are not uncommon. Especially in the cold season, the dry winter and heating air promote viral infections. If the immune system is also weakened, pathogens have a free run. But even in summer we are not safe from colds: The ozone generated by intense solar radiation and the air dried out by air conditioning also cause the respiratory tract to be irritated.

DOLO-DOBENDAN sore throat cure lozenges Has an antiseptic
effect , takes the pain away Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges are particularly recommended for use in the case of severe to very severe sore throats and severe swallowing difficulties. With its special combination of cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and benzocaine, they have a double effect against sore throats and swallowing difficulties: While the antiseptic CPC eliminates the bacteria in the mouth and throat as soon as it is sucked, the benzocaine, with its numbing effect, provides rapid pain relief - already after 46 seconds.

Fit and active despite a sore throat, a sore throat
and difficulty swallowing ensure that you feel exhausted and less productive in everyday life. Food intake - especially acidic and hot foods - can also be difficult. Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges relieve pain quickly and reliably, so that the symptoms do not slow you down completely.

For children and adolescents
Not all pharyngeal therapeutic agents can be used safely in children and adolescents. This does not apply to Dolo-Dobendan®: The active ingredients cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and benzocaine are very well tolerated - therefore the consumption of Strepsils is harmless for children from the age of six. Alternatively, Dobensana® Junior throat tablets are available for this age group: These do not contain any sugar or artificial coloring.

Recommendations for use Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 1 Dolo-Dobendan® lozenge for sore throat every 2 hours as required and let it slowly dissolve in the mouth. The daily dose should not exceed 8 Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges. Children between 6 and 12 years of age take 1 lozenge every 4 hours as needed. The maximum dose for this age group is 4 lozenges per day. If you have symptoms that last longer than 2 days or are accompanied by a high fever, please contact your doctor.

DOLO-DOBENDAN sore throat cure lozenges FAQ:

When exactly do Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges help?
Dolo-Dobendan® is particularly suitable for severe sore throats and difficulty swallowing. These can be relieved quickly and temporarily by taking. Areas of application are, for example, inflammation of the lining of the mouth and throat (stomatitis, pharyngitis) or the gums (gingivitis).

What can I do to naturally relieve my sore throat?
In the case of an acute sore throat, sufficient rest and little physical exertion are important so that the immune system can regenerate. Drink enough water or tea (two liters / day) to flush out the pathogens. Sage tea is particularly suitable because it has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. Hot milk with honey can also have beneficial effects. Also keep your neck warm, for example with a neck wrap or a scarf.

Do I have to see a doctor if I have a sore throat?
Sore throats can have many different causes and don't have to be a symptom of a serious illness. You should consult a doctor if your symptoms are accompanied by a high fever, do not get better or even worsen within 2-3 days despite using a medication.
