DYSTICUM®

(ruminants, primates, marsupials, squirrels, elephants, equines, land predators)

For the treatment and metaphylaxis of stomach and intestinal diseases such as

 

  • Infectious diarrhea (caused by bacteria or viruses) or non-specific diarrhea (e.g. diet-related)
  • Digestive disorders due to putrefaction and fermentation processes (dyspepsia) as well as metabolic disorders (especially concerning carbohydrate metabolism) caused by changes in diet, feed changes, incorrect feeding or reduced feed intake
  • Removal of certain harmful compounds ingested with feed (e.g. fungal toxins, pesticides or heavy metal contamination) as well as pollutants formed in the gastrointestinal tract or their conversion products
  • normalization of the bacterial gastrointestinal flora
  • For the rapid regulation of natural metabolic processes in the digestive tract, e.g. in intensively fed high-performance animals (also in the case of nitrate contamination via feed and drinking water).


Dosage for each animal species, type and duration of use
For all animal species with severe and advanced diseases

Infectious forms of enteritis:
1 g Dysticum /kg body weight (BW) daily for 3 days, then reduce to normal treatment

Dyspepsia with the risk of resorption of toxins from the gastrointestinal tract:
0.5 g Dysticum /kg BW twice daily for 3-5 days, then reduce to normal treatment

Acute intoxications due to oral ingestion of poisons (heavy metals, drugs, pesticides):
On the 1st and 2nd day, give up to 2 g Dysticum /kg BW several times, then reduce to normal treatment

Normal treatment Therapy:

Cattle, calves, horses, foals, zoo animals 0.3 g Dysticum /kg body weight
dogs, cats 0.5 g Dysticum /kg body weight
rabbits, golden hamsters, guinea pigs 1 g Dysticum /kg body weight


Ornamental birds:
Mix 1 g Dysticum in 10 ml water and administer drop by drop several times a day. For prophylaxis in susceptible animals, especially young animals when changing feed or moving to a new stable, half the therapeutic dose is sufficient.

Withdrawal period:
Cattle, horses: edible tissue: 0 days, milk: 0 days; rabbits: edible tissue: 0 days

Special warnings:
Administration to calves should generally only begin from the 2nd to 3rd day of life. If administered in conjunction with orally effective chemotherapy drugs, an absorption-reducing effect can occur within 2 hours.

Storage:
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container.
