The emcools product overview
emcools cooling pads with HypoCarbon ® technology were developed for mobile and highly efficient patient cooling . They are easy and safe to use and, thanks to their special design and different sizes, can be adapted to any body surface.
The technology is characterized by an excellent heat exchange capacity, is environmentally friendly, non-invasive, non-toxic and ensures an even reduction in body and tissue temperature. Depending on the number of pads used, either a systemic cooling effect is achieved (therapeutic hypothermia) or the tissue is cooled locally (cryotherapy).
The spectrum of medical indications ranges from cardiac arrest, stroke, traumatic brain injury, heat stroke, fever and sepsis (systemic cooling) to applications in orthopedics, dermatological and plastic surgery, cosmetics and local injuries (cryotherapy). Thanks to its honeycomb structure, it is impossible for the cooling mass to slip and ensures even cooling over the entire surface. HypoCarbon ® - the patented emcools technology for efficient patient cooling gives the emcools Flex.PadTM surface cooling system excellent cooling rates. Even with the smaller pad variants, HypoCarbon ® enables skin- friendly and effective cryotherapy that works in deep tissue layers.
The technology is characterized by an excellent heat exchange capacity, is environmentally friendly and non-toxic and ensures an even reduction in body and tissue temperature.
Compared to ice or water, the application is also hygienic and skin-friendly, as the surface temperature does not fall below 6 ° C during the treatment. The product components used (TPU outer shell and the medical hydrogel) also contribute significantly to simple and safe use.

- Preparation: Remove the transport and outer carton. Freeze the pads in a conventional freezer, pre-cool time 12-48 hours, depending on the freezer model
- Ready for use: Pads with a blue color indicator are ready for use. If the pads are too cold, the indicator turns black
- Application: Remove pads with blue indicator. Open the packaging, peel off the protective film and press the pad directly onto the skin for 3-5 seconds
