Espumisan Forte
A drug containing simethicone, used for gastrointestinal symptoms associated with excessive gas accumulation. It relieves feelings of bloating, fullness, and abdominal discomfort and is used as an adjunct in abdominal diagnostic tests.
Composition
The active substance of the drug is simethicone ( Simeticonum ).
1 capsule contains 240 mg of simethicone.
Excipients: Gelatin; Glycerol (E422).
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
The drug is intended for oral use.
For the symptomatic treatment of symptoms associated with excessive gas accumulation, adolescents aged 15 years and older and adults usually take 1 capsule after each main meal. Do not exceed 3 capsules per day.
In preparation for abdominal diagnostic tests, the dose is determined by a physician.
Action
Simethicone causes gas bubbles present in food and gastrointestinal mucus to burst. The released gases can then be absorbed through the intestinal wall or eliminated through natural intestinal peristalsis.
Indications
Espumisan Forte is used: in the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal complaints associated with excessive gas accumulation, such as flatulence, feeling of fullness in the abdominal cavity; as an aid in preparing patients for diagnostic examinations of the abdominal cavity, including radiological and ultrasound examinations (USG).
Contraindications
Do not use Espumisan Forte if you are hypersensitive to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.
Side effects
So far, no side effects associated with the use of Espumisan Forte have been reported.
Warnings and precautions
If you experience new abdominal discomfort or if it persists for more than 3 days, consult your doctor to determine the cause of your symptoms.
Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Use of other medications
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or are planning to take.
There are no known significant interactions of Espumisan Forte with other drugs.
Taking the medicine with food and drink
The medicine should be taken after main meals with a glass of water.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Espumisan Forte is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
