Our eyelids perform important functions for the health of our eyes. On the one hand, they form mechanical protection that protects the eye from external influences and injuries. When blinking, the eyelids also distribute the tear film evenly over the surface of the eye and thus protect against dehydration. If changes occur in the eyelids, for example due to skin diseases such as atopy or blepharitis or after surgery, this important function can be disrupted. Left untreated, this can lead to a vicious cycle of inflammation and dryness.
CARE FOR EYELID DISEASES AND BLEPHARITIS
Suitable and well-tolerated care creams provide the skin with moisture and promote healing. The skin on our eyelids places special demands on care products because it is extremely thin and sensitive. Preservatives in particular can cause irritation, so these and other allergenic ingredients should be avoided if possible. Eyelid creams, which are offered in so-called airless dispensers, do not contain any preservatives thanks to the innovative packaging and should preferably be used. In addition, the product is protected from contamination until the end.
ILAST ® CARE EYELID CREAM
ILAST ®CARE is a cream for the care and relief of eyelid diseases. The preservative-free formulation has been ophthalmologically and dermatologically tested and is particularly suitable for the care of ultra-sensitive, allergic and diseased skin. It contains only a few selected nourishing ingredients such as 0.5% hyaluronic acid, 0.2% allantoin and vitamin A to moisturize the skin and promote wound healing.
INSTRUCTIONS ON LID EDGE CARE
Before you care for your eyelids, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly to avoid irritation of the sensitive mucous membranes. It is also advisable to thoroughly clean the eyelids, for example with ILAST ® HYDRACLEAN.
Pump a pea-sized amount of ILAST® CARE on the tip of your index finger. Look up and gently massage the cream dab in from the bottom up, starting from the area next to the nose to the outer corner of the eye.
Gently massage in the cream in stroking movements from the inside out to the temple. You can also gently pat the cream in. Make sure to always massage upwards or outwards on the lower eyelid, but not from top to bottom.
Put another small amount of ILAST ® CARE on your fingertip to apply the eyelid care to the upper lid. Close the eye and massage the cream in gently stroking movements in the area next to the nose from the inside out.
Now massage in the care cream in even movements from the middle of the closed upper eyelid outwards in the direction of the temples.

How is ILAST ® CARE used?
When using for the first time, squeeze the top of the bottle 5 to 10 times to fill the pump tube. Pick up the leaking cream with your index finger to then apply it. Apply a fine, even layer to the eye contours in the morning and evening and massage in with light movements. What to look for when choosing skin care products When choosing ingredients or allergens that can cause irritation, it is important to avoid them.
