Fervex Pain and Fever
500 mg is an analgesic and antipyretic medication that helps lower elevated body temperature and relieve various types of pain. It can be used for headaches, toothaches, joint pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, menstrual pain, and fever, among other conditions. The active ingredient, paracetamol, has analgesic and antipyretic properties. Fervex Pain and Fever is intended for short-term use in adults and adolescents weighing more than 50 kg (over 15 years of age).
Composition:
1 tablet contains: active ingredient: paracetamol 500 mg, excipients with known effects: 197 mg sodium, 126 mg sorbitol, 50 mg sodium benzoate, and 0.96 mg fructose, glucose, and sucrose in the flavor.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. If you have any questions, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. The dose is based on your body weight. The approximate age corresponding to a given body weight is provided as a guide only. The recommended single dose of paracetamol is 10 to 15 mg/kg of body weight (bw) every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum daily dose of 75 mg/kg bw. The total daily dose of paracetamol must not exceed 4 g.
Recommended dose:
Adults and adolescents weighing more than 50 kg (over 15 years of age) - The recommended single dose of Fervex pain and fever is 500 mg or 1000 mg of paracetamol (one or two effervescent tablets) every 4 to 6 hours, not exceeding a total of 3 g of paracetamol (6 effervescent tablets per day). However, in case of severe pain, the daily dose can be increased to a maximum dose of 4 g of paracetamol (8 effervescent tablets per day). Always leave at least a 4-hour interval between doses.
Method of administration:
Oral use. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the prepared solution. The score line is not intended to divide the tablet into equal doses. Do not chew or swallow the tablets.
