  • The medicinal product Flegafortan syrup 1.6 mg / ml as the active substance contains bromhexine hydrochloride. The syrup has a thinning effect on thick secretion, which facilitates its expectoration and at the same time cleansing the bronchi.

The composition of Flegafortan syrup 1.6 mg / ml:

Active substance: Bromohexine hydrochloride. 1ml of syrup contains 1.6 mg of bromohexine hydrochloride. 5ml of syrup (1 scoop) contains 8mg of bromohexine hydrochloride. Excipients: liquid, non-crystallising sorbitol (E 420), propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), sodium saccharin (E 954), cherry flavor (propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, triethyl citrate, DL- lactic acid, 4-methoxyacetophenone, 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone (maltol), anisic aldehyde, benzoic acid), purified water.

Action Flegafortan syrup 1.6 mg / ml:

Syrup with bromohexine hydrochloride recommended for use in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, in the course of which expectoration of secretions is difficult. Bromohexine hydrochloride thinns the thick discharge, makes it easier to expectorate and contributes to the purification of the bronchi.

Application:
Flegafortan syrup 1.6 mg / ml indicated for use in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases that proceed with difficult expectoration of thick bronchial secretions. For use in children over 6 years of age and adults.

Additional information:
Keep out of reach of children at room temperature. The drug contains sorbitol (760mg in 1ml, caloric value 2.6kcal / g sorbitol), it is not recommended for people with hereditary fructose intolerance. Sorbitol can cause discomfort on the part of the digestive system, it can also cause a mild laxative effect. The drug contains propylene glycol (40.3mg in 1ml). The drug contains propyl and methyl parahydroxybenzoate, substances that can cause allergic reactions (including late-type reactions). The drug contains benzyl alcohol (0.06mg in 1ml). The use of the drug is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use below 6 years of age. Do not use in people with peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.

Side effects:
Adverse reactions may occur during use. Immune system disorders: rarely - hypersensitivity reactions; frequency unknown - anaphylactic reactions, including: anaphylactic shock, angioneurotic edema and pruritus. Nervous system disorders: unknown frequency - headache, dizziness, drowsiness. Vascular disorders: frequency unknown - lowering of blood pressure. Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: frequency unknown - bronchial obstruction. Gastrointestinal disorders: uncommon - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rarely - skin rash, urticaria; not known - serious side effects on the skin (including erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized pustulla). Use as directed by your doctor or the instructions on the leaflet. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: take 10ml (two scoops) three times a day. The recommended dose for children from 6 to 12 years old: take 5ml (one measure) three times a day. The medicinal product should not be taken at bedtime. Do not use more than 3 days for children or 5 days for adults without medical consultation.
