• If you use the bag regularly, only immerse it in water for 3 - 5 minutes, especially when you feel the crystals.

In summer, especially when it is really hot, insulin should never be transported without cooling. FRIO bags are the ideal solution for this. They work with evaporative cooling - without electricity, batteries or cooling elements. The principle is very simple. The FRIO bag is simply dipped in cold water, whereupon the crystals it contains form a gel. If you then wipe the bag lightly with a cloth, it will feel dry. Now put the cooled insulin, insulin pen or other diabetes supplies in it. The included Cambrelle™ outer pocket protects the surrounding items in your handbag or suitcase.

Note: Insulin is a protein, it breaks down at temperatures above 40°C and becomes unusable. Therefore, you should never expose it to high heat or direct sunlight, even in a FRIO bag.
