- Foresto can be used as part of a strategy to combat flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).
The product has long-lasting acaricidal (kills ticks) (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus turanicus) and repellent (prevents parasites from feeding) effectiveness in the case of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) for a period of 7-8 months. The product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks.
If the cat has a history of ticks prior to treatment, applying a collar may not kill the arachnids within 48 hours; ticks may remain attached and visible. Therefore, it is recommended to remove any ticks already present on the animal when the collar is put on. The action against the infestation of new ticks begins within 2 days after putting on the collar.
