Application areas:

GeloBacin® ear drops are used for the physical treatment and relief of unspecific complaints of the external auditory canal, e.g. B. in otitis externa (inflammation of the external auditory canal or bath otitis) used. The following symptoms may occur with otitis externa: itching, reddening, pain, swelling of the ear canal, pain when pressure is applied to the cartilaginous elevation on the outer ear (tragus) or pulling of the earlobe.

 

The symptoms are usually caused by inflammation, which can have the following causes: Dampness in the ear after bathing, swimming or diving; Allergies or sensitivity to cosmetics such as B. shampoos; Irritation or injury from mechanical irritation to the ear (e.g. from cotton swabs, earplugs or hearing aids); Skin conditions that cause sensitive skin in the ear canal; Side effects of diseases such as B. Diabetes mellitus.

 

In addition, GeloBacin® ear drops can also be used preventively if the tendency to unspecific complaints in the ear canal is known.

 

Children from 2 years of age and adults are instilled 1-2 drops into the ear canal up to 4 times a day.

 

GeloBacin® ear drops should be warmed to body temperature before use. After instillation in the ear canal, leave the head in the side position for about 5 minutes.

 

Tip: When instilling into the ear canal, pull the upper part of the auricle back a little.
