Warning/safety instructions:
- To obtain accurate results, allow the meter, test strips and control solution 30 minutes to adjust to the ambient conditions before measuring blood sugar:
- Temperature: 5 to 45 °C (41 to 113 °F);
- Humidity: 20 to 90 % RH (relative humidity).
- Do not store or use the meter in places where the following conditions apply:
- Strong temperature fluctuations;
- High humidity with condensation (bathrooms, laundry drying rooms, kitchens, etc.);
- Strong electromagnetic fields (near microwave ovens, mobile phones, etc.).
- Please keep the meter out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation from the button cells.
- Do not use the meter if it has fallen into liquid or liquid has penetrated the device. This also applies if the device has subsequently dried.
- Avoid touching the test strip slot on the meter. There is a temperature sensor in the device to keep errors to a minimum.
- Do not connect the data cable to the data transfer port while a measurement is being taken. This may damage the meter, leading to inaccurate measurement results.
- Do not apply blood directly to the test strip slot on the meter.
- Do not let other people use your meter to avoid the risk of infection.
- The meter complies with the applicable requirements for the emission of electromagnetic radiation (EMC). However, do not measure your blood sugar with this meter near mobile devices or electrical or electronic devices that emit electromagnetic radiation, as these may affect the proper operation of the meter.
- Improper use may lead to explosions or leakage of flammable liquids.
- Do not expose the battery to extremely high temperatures.
- Do not expose the battery to extremely low air pressure.
