How much and how often should you use the medicine?
-
Head lice:
- An important prerequisite for the drug to work properly is complete wetting of the scalp and hair. Therefore, the dry hair should be soaked thoroughly with the medicine according to its fullness and rubbed in with a massage. With long hair, the entire content of a 75 ml bottle is required, with short hair around half. The liquid is allowed to act for at least 30 minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes. The hair is then thoroughly rinsed with warm water, as when using shampoo, and combed out with a fine-toothed comb to remove the dead nits. After 8 - 12 days, a check should be carried out to ensure the success of the treatment, ie to determine whether all lice and nits have been detected when the drug was used.
- Because lice migrate easily, it is advisable to treat all members of the family with the drug, even if lice have only been found in one person. Treat small children with a maximum of 25 ml and leave them under supervision during treatment.
-
Pubic lice:
- Apply plenty of medicine to the affected areas and wash off thoroughly with warm water after 30 to 45 minutes. Here, too, it is advisable to repeat the treatment after 8-12 days.
-
Clothes lice:
- Contaminated clothing must be dehydrated using suitable methods. To support this measure, the hairy parts of the body are treated with the medicine in the manner described for half an hour and then washed off thoroughly with warm water.
-
All indications:
- Treat small children with no more than 1/3 of the contents of a 75 ml bottle (= 25 ml) and leave them under supervision during treatment. For pack sizes of 250 ml, please use the enclosed measuring cup.
-
Head lice:
-
Which application errors do you have to avoid?
- Do not get in eyes or use around eyes, nose or mouth.
- Multiple use on the same day of treatment or daily use over several days can lead to dry skin, itching, reddening and increased flaking of the scalp.
-
What should I do if the medicine is used internally or is swallowed?
- Immediately rinse your mouth with plenty of water. Inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately and show him the package or contact the nearest advice center for poisoning cases.
