Granulox Spray
Granulox is a hemoglobin spray to support the healing of chronic wounds. Granulox is the first dressing that eliminates the lack of oxygen in chronic wounds and thus significantly accelerates wound healing. Granulox improves wound healing in a variety of chronic wounds, such as: Ulcus cruris venosum/arteriosum/mixtum (### open leg###), diabetic foot ulcers (diabetic foot), poorly healing surgical wounds and decubitus ulcers (bed sores). If you are not sure whether Granulox can help you, contact us. Granulox does not replace causal therapy.
Application:
The small spray bottle makes the red Granulox spray easy to use. The spray can be simply sprayed on without having to touch the wound and does not burn when applied. The frequency can be adapted to the usual bandage change rhythm (every 1 to 3 days, depending on the phase of the wound). A spray of 1-2 seconds is usually sufficient to cover a wound area of 2 x 3 cm. Depending on the size of the wound, one can of Granulox is sufficient for around 30 applications.
Interactions:
Granulox should not be used at the same time as locally acting therapeutic agents such as antibiotics, as interactions have not yet been sufficiently researched. It is known that disinfectants have an adverse effect on Granulox. After using the disinfectant, thorough rinsing with a physiological solution is therefore necessary. After using proteolytic (enzymatic) debridements, thorough rinsing with a physiological solution is necessary.
Contraindications:
For safety reasons, Granulox should not be used during pregnancy. There is not yet sufficient data to assess this case.
No side effects:
Granulox contains highly pure hemoglobin - a completely natural oxygen transporter that is also present in the body in the red blood cells. Side effects are therefore not known even if it is sprayed on too often.
Storage:
Granulox should be stored in the refrigerator at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. On days of use, Granulox can be stored at room temperature (max. 25°C). If Granulox is used daily (e.g. in clinical practice or during home visits), the spray can can be stored at room temperature until empty. The storage time at room temperature may not exceed 6 weeks.
