The power of Indian myrrh
Guggulu literally means "protector from illness" in Sanskrit. Guggul (Commiphora mukul) is the resin of the Indian Mukul myrrh from the balsam tree family and contains phytochemical substances that enable the plant to live under the extreme conditions of the desert. The flavones (= yellow plant pigments) it contains are physiologically important in reducing and preventing oxidation processes.
