• Unless otherwise prescribed:
  • Take 1 tablet 3 times a day with liquid.

• When used with other medicines
  • Sodium bicarbonate is incompatible with most drugs.
  • If you are taking other medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist about them.
  • The absorption and excretion of weak acids and bases can be influenced by increasing the pH value in the stomach and urine. Functional interactions are possible with gluco- and mineralocorticoids, androgens and diuretics that increase potassium excretion.

Contraindications

• The preparation must not be used
  • The drug must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients.
  • The preparation must not be taken if there are disturbances in the acid-base balance (alkalosis), potassium deficiency or if you are following a low-sodium diet.
  • Because of the risk of gastric rupture, the drug must not be used in acid burns in the stomach.

• Since there are no adequate studies, the drug should not be used in pregnant women and during breastfeeding.
