- Traditionally used as a mild medicine for heartburn and acid-related stomach problems.
- A doctor should be consulted if symptoms such as heartburn and acid-related stomach problems last longer than a week or occur repeatedly.

Unless otherwise prescribed:
- Take 1 tablet 3 times a day with liquid.

When used with other medicines
- Sodium bicarbonate is incompatible with most drugs.
- If you are taking other medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist about them.
- The absorption and excretion of weak acids and bases can be influenced by increasing the pH value in the stomach and urine. Functional interactions are possible with gluco- and mineralocorticoids, androgens and diuretics that increase potassium excretion.
Contraindications

The preparation must not be used
- The drug must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients.
- The preparation must not be taken if there are disturbances in the acid-base balance (alkalosis), potassium deficiency or if you are following a low-sodium diet.
- Because of the risk of gastric rupture, the drug must not be used in acid burns in the stomach.

- Since there are no adequate studies, the drug should not be used in pregnant women and during breastfeeding.
