Talcid ® Liquid: Quick help for acid-related symptoms
Heartburn and the like also occur more frequently at night. When lying down, the responsible gastric acid can flow back into the esophagus more easily, for example due to so-called spontaneous relaxation of the muscle that serves as a seal between the esophagus and stomach.
Talcid ® Liquid can help with subsequent heartburn and acid-related stomach problems. The active ingredient hydrotalcite neutralizes excess gastric acid and thereby alleviates:
• Heartburn
• Stomach pain
• Stomach pressure
• Symptoms of stomach and duodenal ulcers
In addition, Talcid ® Liquid also binds bile acids and pepsin, which can also affect the esophagus. In addition, it promotes the protection of the gastric mucosa, for example by strengthening the mucus layer.
Talcid ® Liquid is ready to be taken immediately: without shaking, without kneading. It is recommended to use one sachet between meals and at bedtime. If you have nothing against taking this medicine, you can use up to six sachets a day. If you are also dependent on taking other medicines, you should take them one to two hours before or after Talcid ® . Talcid ®
is usedLiquid for adults and children over 12 years of age.
A high dosage of Talcid ® Liquid can cause digestive problems such as constipation, diarrhea or vomiting. If you miss a single dose of Talcid ® Liquid, increasing the normal dose for the next dose is not recommended.
The duration of use depends on the underlying disease. However, if the symptoms have not disappeared after two weeks, it is advisable to see a doctor for an examination and advice.

The active ingredient in Talcid ® Liquid
To soothe the symptoms in the irritated esophagus and to neutralize excess stomach acid, a suspension sachet contains Talcid ®Liquid 1,000 milligrams of hydrotalcite. This is a so-called layer lattice antacid – i.e. an acid-binding active ingredient from whose structure the active ingredients do not dissolve all at once, but piece by piece and as required. This has the advantage that only as much stomach acid is neutralized as is necessary to achieve the optimal pH value in the stomach. If gastric acid is formed again, the active substance is released again.
