  • Inaldin Gardło spray for use in the oral cavity is a medicinal product with benzydamine as an active substance. The indication for its use is the treatment of symptoms associated with inflammation of the oral cavity and throat, e.g. pain, swelling and redness.

Composition of Inaldin Throat spray for use in the oral cavity:

Active substance benzydamine hydrochloride (Benzydamini hydrochloridum). 1ml contains 1.5mg benzydamine hydrochloride, equivalent to 1.34mg benzydamine. One spray dose (0.17ml) contains 255 micrograms benzydamine hydrochloride, equivalent to 228 micrograms benzydamine and excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), sodium cyclamate (E 952), glycerol (E 422), sodium hydrogen carbonate, polysorbate 80, ethanol 96%, peppermint flavour [containing peppermint oil, ethanol, menthol], concentrated phosphoric acid (to adjust pH), purified water.

Benzydamine, the active substance of the medicinal product Inaldin Gardło oral spray, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has a local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect on the oral mucosa. The drug is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of inflammation of the oral cavity and throat, such as redness, swelling and pain.

Application:
Inaldin Gardło oral spray is intended for use in the treatment of symptoms such as pain, swelling, redness, which are associated with inflammation of the throat and oral cavity. For use in children and adults.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. The shelf life after first use is 160 days. Before using the drug, talk to your doctor or pharmacist in the case of patients who are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - there is an increased risk of allergy to benzydamine and patients who have or have had bronchial asthma or allergic diseases in the past - the risk of bronchospasm or allergies is increased. You should consult your doctor if after 3 days there is a deterioration, in rare cases ulceration of the cheeks or throat may be caused by a serious underlying disease. In the case of long-term use, an allergy may occur. If an allergic reaction occurs, you must stop using the drug and immediately consult your doctor or pharmacist. Avoid contact with the eyes. Use with other drugs: consult your doctor. Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women: do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Shortly after taking the medicine, a feeling of numbness in the mouth or throat may occur, avoid eating and drinking until it disappears. The medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) - may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed reactions). The medicine contains ethanol - 81.40mg of alcohol (ethanol) in each ml, which corresponds to 13.84mg in 0.17ml (one dose). The ethanol content in one dose (0.17ml) is equivalent to less than 0.4ml of beer or 0.2ml of wine. This amount of alcohol does not cause any noticeable effects. The medicine contains sodium - less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium in one dose (0.17ml), it can be considered "sodium-free".

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects when taking the medicine. After taking the medicine, a feeling of numbness or burning in the mouth or throat may occur - this is related to the normal action of the medicine, it disappears after a short time. In isolated cases, nausea or vomiting may appear, resulting from the irritation reflex of the throat, which is related to taking the medicine. The symptoms may disappear spontaneously after stopping taking the medicine. Other side effects: uncommon - photosensitivity; rare - burning and dry mouth; very rare - laryngeal spasm, swelling of the face, hands and feet, eyes, lips and/or tongue, which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling (angioedema); frequency unknown – allergic reaction (hypersensitivity), severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with symptoms such as: difficulty breathing, chest pain or tightness, feeling dizzy/faint, severe itching of the skin or raised lumps on the skin, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat (may be potentially life-threatening).

Dosage of Inaldin Throat oral spray:

Use the medicine according to your doctor's instructions or as indicated in the leaflet. Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: use 4-8 spray doses 2-6 times a day, but not more often than every 1.5-3 hours. Recommended dose for children from 6 to 12 years of age: use 4 spray doses 2-6 times a day, but not more often than every 1.5-3 hours. Recommended dose for children under 6 years of age: use one spray dose per 4 kg of body weight 2-6 times a day, but not more often than every 1.5-3 hours. Regardless of body weight, do not use more than 4 spray doses at a time. There is no need to change the dosage in the case of elderly people. Do not use for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor. If after 3 days there is no improvement or if there is a deterioration, consult a doctor. Directions for use: before first use, press the dispenser 5 times to obtain the full dose. Place the dispenser in a horizontal position, point its tip into the mouth, and press.
