Infection-protection wound care ointment Tribiotic Ointment 5g
Tribiotic is a medicinal product in the form of an ointment. Tribiotic is applied to small wounds to protect them from infection.
Composition:
The active substances are zinc bacitracin (Bacitracinum zincum), neomycin sulfate (Neomycini sulfas), and polymyxin B sulfate (Polymyxini B sulfas).
1g of ointment contains 400 IU/g zinc bacitracin, 5 mg neomycin sulfate, and 5000 IU/g polymyxin B sulfate.
Excipients: white petrolatum.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Tribiotic is usually applied up to three times a day. First, wash and dry the skin. Apply a small amount of ointment to the affected area.
Can be applied under a sterile dressing.
Do not use for longer than 7 days.
Action:
Tribiotic contains three antibiotics with different spectrums of action. Bacitracin primarily targets Gram-positive bacteria. Neomycin and Polymyxin B primarily target Gram-negative bacteria. This combination of ingredients allows Tribiotic to achieve a broad spectrum of antibacterial action.
Indications:
Tribiotic is used to protect minor wounds, scratches, and burns from bacterial infection.
Contraindications
: Do not use Tribiotic
: in case of hypersensitivity to zinc bacitracin, neomycin sulfate, polymyxin B sulfate, or any of the excipients;
- on mucous membranes;
- on large areas of damaged skin;
- on deep or puncture wounds, severe burns;
- in the eyes;
- on oozing skin lesions
