The preparation is in the form of a powder for the preparation of an oral rehydration fluid with reduced osmolarity and reduced sodium content. The composition of Jonolit Baby food for special medical purposes was created in accordance with the ESPGHAN recommendations. The product is used in the dietary management of infants and children in states of dehydration, when the water and electrolyte balance is disturbed. Then it is important to replace the lost electrolytes, minerals and glucose.

How to use Jonolit Baby sachets:

Use under medical supervision. The frequency of use and dosage should be adjusted to body weight, age, dehydration level, hydration stage or as directed by a physician. Body weight below 5 kg (under 4 months of age): irrigation phase (the first 4 hours of irrigation) - dissolve the contents of 1-2 sachets in 200-400 ml of water, administer in small portions; maintenance irrigation phase (further stages of irrigation) - dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of water, administer 50-100 ml (5-10 ml per kg of body weight) after each episode of vomiting or after each diarrhea stool, do not use more than 500 ml per day. Body weight 5-7.9 kg (from 4 to 11 months of age): irrigation phase - dissolve the contents of 2-3 sachets in 400-600 ml of water, administer in small portions; maintenance irrigation phase - dissolve the content of one sachet in 200 ml of water, administer 50-100 ml (5-10 ml per kg of body weight) after each episode of vomiting or after each diarrhea stool, do not use more than 500 ml per day. Body weight 9-10.9 kg (from 12 to 23 months of age): irrigation phase - dissolve the content of 3-4 sachets in 600-800 ml of water, administer in small portions; maintenance irrigation phase - dissolve the content of one sachet in 200 ml of water, administer 100-200 ml after each episode of vomiting or after each diarrhea stool, do not use more than 1000 ml per day. Body weight 11-15.9 kg (from 2 to 3 years of age): irrigation phase - the contents of 4-6 sachets dissolve in 800-1200 ml of water, serve in small portions; maintenance irrigation phase - dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of water, give 100-200 ml after each episode of vomiting or after each passing diarrhea stool, do not use more than 1000 ml a day Usage: dissolve the contents of the sachet in 200 ml of warm, previously boiled water. The liquid should be cooled before drinking. Give the liquid with a clean spoon or with a cup. In the case of infants and children up to 2 years of age, it is recommended to administer the liquid by pouring the liquid directly into the mouth in small portions every 1-2 minutes, in the case of older children - they can drink the liquid in small sips from a cup. If a child vomits, irrigation should be interrupted for 5-10 minutes and then resumed with the administration of fluid at a slower pace. Do not sweeten the liquid. Eat the liquid immediately after preparation, it is unfit for consumption 24 hours after preparation.
