KAREX children's tooth protection gel 50 ml, KAREX children's mouthguard prophylaxis gel
Kinder Karex tooth protection prophylaxis gel with BioHAP *
The Kinder Karex tooth protection gel contains the tooth-related active ingredient BioHAP * . This stands for “biomimetic hydroxyapatite” – the stuff our teeth are made of.
The highly dosed gel supports caries prophylaxis by forming a protective layer on the tooth. This makes it more difficult for the bacteria to adhere to the tooth and thus effectively protects against tooth decay.
The gel promotes the remineralization of tooth enamel with BioHAP * as a natural source of calcium. Calcium is removed from tooth enamel by plaque and acidic foods. BioHAP *accumulates on the tooth surfaces, calcium can be stored again in the enamel. This is called remineralization. Due to the high correspondence with the natural tooth mineral, BioHAP * remineralizes even deeper layers of the tooth enamel.
Due to the similarity with the body's own tooth mineral, BioHAP * is absolutely harmless if swallowed and is therefore suitable from the very first tooth.
+ Xylitol: This ingredient also acts against bacteria and plaque.
The effectiveness of BioHAP * in dental care has been proven in scientific studies.
Other areas of application:
In addition to caries prophylaxis after brushing your teeth, the Kinder Karex tooth protection gel is also suitable for other areas of application, e.g. E.g. for:
• Patients with multi-band therapy (brackets patients): Due to the orthodontic appliances, patients often have difficulties in removing plaque completely and thus have an increased risk of caries (white spot lesions).
• MIH (Chalk Teeth): Teeth with MIH (Molar Incisor Hypomineralization) do not have fully mineralized enamel. Additional regular remineralization is important to protect the tooth and prevent sensitivity. BioHAP * accumulates on the teeth and tooth necks and thus also helps with pain-sensitive teeth.
* biomimetic hydroxyapatite
How should Kinder Karex mouthguard gel be used?
The tooth protection gel is suitable for children from the very first tooth and is applied to the teeth with a finger or toothbrush every day after brushing. The application can be repeated if necessary.
Please note:
The gel does not replace daily tooth brushing, but is to be used in addition.
Expert tip:
The longer the tooth protection gel acts, the more effectively the tooth enamel can be remineralized. It is therefore recommended to apply the gel in the evening after brushing your teeth and leave it on overnight. In this way, the effect can unfold optimally.

Good care from the first milk tooth is necessary for long-term preservation of healthy teeth. However, brushing babies' teeth is not always easy. In addition, older toddlers often want to brush their teeth themselves at an early age. Due to their lack of motor skills, however, thorough cleaning is hardly possible. Thus, parents have little control over how clean their children's teeth are brushed. Even the “cleaning afterwards” only offers a supposed security that your children’s teeth are cleaned well enough.
That is why the children's Karex tooth protection gel was developed for the additional protection of children's teeth. During development, special attention was paid to the special needs of all children. So this product benefits all children - regardless of whether they have healthy teeth, chalk teeth or braces.
The high-dose BioHAP gel supports tooth decay prevention by forming a protective layer on the tooth. This makes it more difficult for the bacteria to adhere to the tooth and thus effectively protects against tooth decay. In addition, the Kinder Karex tooth protection gel promotes the remineralization of the tooth enamel with high doses of BioHAP and additional calcium.
Remineralization of the teeth
Calcium is removed from the tooth enamel by plaque and acidic foods. BioHAP accumulates on the tooth surfaces and penetrates the resulting so-called "demineralized" areas. This process is supported by the contained calcium and is called remineralization. Due to the high correspondence with the natural tooth mineral, BioHAP even remineralizes deeper layers of the tooth enamel than other active ingredients.
Chalking teeth Chalking teeth are
characterized by tooth enamel that is not fully mineralized. As a result, external stimuli penetrate faster to the underlying dentin and further to the tooth nerve. The tooth protection gel can also reduce sensitivity to pain in chalk teeth (MIH) through the mineralization of the teeth with calcium and the formation of a protective layer through BioHAP.
Orthodontic treatments
Even with orthodontic treatments, brushing your teeth alone is often not enough to keep your teeth free of caries. Despite good oral hygiene, plaque often forms around the brackets with fixed braces, which increases the risk of tooth decay. Plaque can produce acids over time if not removed. The acids cause the tooth to become demineralized - and that within just 4 weeks. The Kinder Karex tooth protection gel with BioHAP and calcium buffers harmful bacterial acids and thus prevents demineralization of the teeth and "white spot lesions". In addition, the available calcium supports the remineralization of affected areas.
Suitable for all children
Due to the similarity with the body's own tooth mineral, BioHAP as a calcium phosphate compound is absolutely harmless if swallowed and is therefore suitable from the very first tooth. The pleasantly mild taste makes it easy for small children to include the mouthguard gel in their daily dental care routine immediately after brushing their teeth.
Application KAREX children's tooth protection prophylaxis gel:
The tooth protection gel is suitable for children from the first tooth and is applied to the teeth daily after brushing with a finger or with a soft toothbrush (just apply, do not brush) and distributed with the tongue. Application can be simplified by repeatedly pouring small amounts of Kinder Karex tooth protection gel onto the finger/toothbrush and spreading it in the mouth. The dosage is based on personal needs.
Please note: The gel does not replace daily tooth brushing, but is to be used in addition.
