Despite ever-improving oral hygiene in recent decades, almost everyone has to deal with tooth decay at least once in their life. Karex combats the problem in an innovative way with the active ingredient BioHAP. Karex completely dispenses with fluoride. There's for children and adults.
BioHAP stands for "Biomimetic Hydroxylapatite". "Bio" for biomimetics, i.e. "imitate nature". A calcium phosphate that is very common in our body is hydroxyapatite (HAP). It is a main component of our teeth and bones. BioHAP is very similar to the hydroxyapatite that occurs in our body. Numerous scientific studies describe the positive effect of BioHAP on oral and dental health.

For additional protection of the teeth, Karex jelly was developed to meet the needs of the user. Karex gelée is a gel for the remineralization of tooth enamel, to support tooth decay prevention and to reduce sensitivity to pain.
The jelly remineralizes the tooth enamel with hydroxyapatite and can be used for daily dental care immediately after brushing your teeth. The pleasantly mild taste makes it easy for small children and people with pain-sensitive teeth to include the jelly in their daily dental care routine.
In addition, the gel can reduce the sensitivity to pain that can occur after a professional whitening. Chalk teeth are incomplete tooth enamel. Additional remineralization is important to protect the tooth and prevent sensitivity.
Application
Karex gelée is applied to the teeth with a finger every day after brushing. The jelly should not be rinsed out.

Karex tooth protection gel with BioHAP *
The Karex tooth protection gel contains the tooth-related active ingredient BioHAP * . This stands for "biomimetic hydroxyapatite" - the substance our teeth are made of.
The high-dose gel supports caries prevention by forming a protective layer on the tooth. This makes it more difficult for bacteria to adhere to the tooth and thus effectively protects against caries.
The gel promotes the remineralization of the tooth enamel with BioHAP * as a calcium source.
Plaque and acidic foods remove calcium from the tooth enamel.
BioHAP * is deposited on the tooth surfaces and calcium can be deposited back into the enamel. This is called remineralization. Because it is so similar to the natural tooth mineral, BioHAP * even remineralizes deeper layers of the tooth enamel.
Because of its similarity to the body's own tooth mineral, BioHAP * is harmless if swallowed and is therefore suitable from the first tooth.
+ Xylitol: This ingredient also works against bacteria and plaque.
The effectiveness of BioHAP * in dental care has been proven in scientific studies.
Other areas of application:
In addition to caries prevention after brushing, the Karex tooth protection gel is suitable for other areas of application, e.g. for:
• Patients with multi-band therapy (bracket patients): Due to the orthodontic appliances, patients often have difficulty completely removing plaque and therefore have an increased risk of caries (white spot lesions).
• MIH (chalky teeth): Teeth with MIH (molar-incisor hypomineralization) do not have fully mineralized tooth enamel. Additional regular remineralization is important to protect the tooth and prevent sensitivity. BioHAP * deposits on the teeth and tooth necks and thus also helps with sensitive teeth.
• Sensitivity: During a bleaching treatment, the teeth are whitened with peroxides. This can result in sensitive teeth. The Karex tooth protection gel with BioHAP * reduces this sensitivity.
How should the Karex tooth protection gel be used?
The tooth protection gel is suitable for children and adults from the first tooth and is applied to the teeth daily after brushing with the finger or toothbrush. The application can be repeated if necessary. Please note: The gel does not replace daily brushing, but should be used in addition.
Expert tip:
The longer the tooth protection gel is left to work, the more effectively the tooth enamel can be remineralized. It is therefore recommended that you apply the gel in the evening after brushing your teeth and leave it to work overnight. This allows the gel to take effect optimally.
