Lysine is an absolutely essential amino acid. As a proteinogenic amino acid, it plays a role in the formation of proteins, especially collagen and elastin.

In our capsules, L-lysine is present as hydrochloride. Hydrochloride also occurs in the human stomach, which optimizes the bioavailability of the product. Lysine was originally obtained from corn through fermentation.
