- The medicine is a laxative.
- The preparation is used for constipation (constipation), for diseases that require easier bowel evacuation, as well as for bowel evacuation during treatment measures and measures for the detection of diseases (therapeutic and diagnostic interventions) in the intestine.
- Like other laxatives, this should not be used daily or over a long period of time without a doctor's clarification of the cause of constipation.

The recommended dose is

Adults and children from 10 years
- For rapid emptying of the bowel, 1 suppository (equivalent to 10 mg bisacodyl) is inserted into the rectum.
- For bowel evacuation during treatment measures and measures for the detection of diseases (diagnostic and therapeutic interventions) in the intestine as well as in diseases that require easier bowel evacuation, use is carried out according to the doctor's instructions.

If you use more than you should

- The treatment depends on the prevailing complaints. If necessary, the loss of fluid and salt (especially potassium) must be compensated.

Note:
- In general, laxatives (e.g. this one) are known to lead to chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain, low potassium levels, excessive secretion of aldosterone and kidney stones in the event of chronic overdose. In connection with chronic laxative abuse, there have also been reports of kidney tissue damage, a metabolic increase in base concentrations in the blood, and muscle weakness caused by decreased potassium levels.

Use with other medicines

Diuretics, adrenal hormones
- Concomitant use of water tablets (diuretics) or adrenal cortex hormones (corticosteroids) may increase the risk of electrolyte build-ups with excessive use of this drug.

Cardiac tonic
- The sensitivity to certain drugs to strengthen the heart function (cardiac glycosides) can be increased by electrolyte changes.

The drug must not be used
- if you are allergic to bisacodyl or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- for complaints such as B. abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever. These can be signs of a serious illness (intestinal narrowing with impaired intestinal passage, intestinal obstruction, acute inflammation in the abdominal area, acute, surgically treated abdominal pain such as appendicitis). Warnings and Precautions
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
- You should not use the product in the event of illnesses associated with disorders of the water and mineral salt balance (e.g. significant lack of fluid in the body).
- Laxatives should only be used for a short time without medical clarification.
- If you have chronic constipation, ask your doctor for advice before use.
- Increased fluid loss can lead to dehydration. Under certain circumstances (e.g. in patients with impaired kidney function or in the elderly) this can have harmful effects. In such cases, the use should be interrupted and only continued under medical supervision.
- Patients reported blood in their stool. These were generally described as weak and went away on their own.
- Dizziness or short-term fits of loss of consciousness (syncope) have been reported in patients taking this medicine. According to the relevant case reports, this is probably syncope, which can be traced back either to the laxative process itself, to pressing or to circulatory reactions due to abdominal pain.
