Bryonia cretica is used as a laxative to relieve constipation and as an emetic. Emetics are medicines that are used to cause vomiting. Bryonia is also used to treat stomach and intestinal diseases, lung diseases, arthritis, liver disease, and metabolic disorders; and to prevent infections.
Taraxacum officinale is also used as skin toner, circulation tonic, blood tonic, and digestive tonic. Some people take dandelion by mouth to treat infection, especially viral infections and urinary tract infections (UTIs), as well as cancer. In foods, dandelion is used as salad greens, and in soups, wine, and teas.
Chelidonium majus has traditionally been used for treatment of various inflammatory diseases including atopic dermatitis. It is also traditionally used in the treatment of gallstones and dyspepsia. The Iroquois give an infusion of whole plant, another plant and milk to pigs that drool and have sudden movements.
