This vitamin K2 is present as long-chain menaquinone MK-7. In liquid oil-based form, it can be easily absorbed by the body regardless of meals, as it is one of the fat-soluble vitamins. It is dissolved in vegetable oil in this product. MK-7 is much more stable in the body than vitamin K1 and is available in the blood for 72 hours.

Vitamin K2 activates the proteins osteocalcin and MGP (Matrix Gla Protein). These are responsible for calcium utilization in the body. Osteocalcin binds calcium and deposits it in the hard tissue of teeth and bones. MGP, on the other hand, prevents the incorporation of calcium in the wrong places and thus inhibits the calcification of blood vessels and cartilage. It can also actively remove calcium ions from existing plaque.
