Pokeweed, Phytolacca americana, also known as pokeberry, poke, inkberry, etc. A native weed of the eastern United States used in folk medicine as a purgative, salve, and bronchodilator. Young leaves are eaten in the rural southern United States (“poke salad”).

  • Always use the prepart exactly as instructed. Please ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you are not entirely sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed, in acute conditions, adults and children from 12 years of age should inject parenterally 1-2 ml up to 3 times daily intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
  • Use for more than 1 week should only
    be done after consulting a homeopathically experienced therapist.
  • For chronic forms of the disease, adults and children from 12 years of age, inject 1-2 ml parenterally daily intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
  • If the symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.

 

  • Duration of application
    • Homeopathic medicines should also not be used for long periods of time without medical advice.

 

  • If you use more than you should
    • Poisoning or overdose symptoms are not known.
