STROPHANTHUS, heart failure Characteristics:
Strophanthin, also known as ouabain, has long been used as a poison for arrows by the indigenous people of Africa. It is obtained from a milk-juice-producing creeper, but it is also an endogenous human hormone that is formed in the zona fasciculata of the adrenal gland and is involved in the regulation of the salt and water balance. The human hypothalamus also contains g-strophanthin. The g-strophanthin is therefore an endogenous substance. Due to its influence, the work of the heart can be relieved significantly in any case.
If the adrenal gland is weak, which is to be expected with increasing age, g-strophanthin can be used to compensate for the lack of function of the adrenal gland and thus support the weak “old age heart”.

In acute conditions, adults take 5 drops every half an hour to a maximum of 6 times a day. In chronic forms, take 5 drops 1-3 times a day. The drops should be taken before meals.
