What is pidolate?
Magnesium L-pidolate is the magnesium salt of pidolic acid (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid = L-PCA). Pidolates are amino acid derivatives and improve the bioavailability of the mineral.

Magnesium is not just magnesium - the combination makes the difference!

Most magnesium products on the market are purely inorganic magnesium (magnesium oxide), the absorption of which depends on the acidity in the stomach, since it can only be dissolved and absorbed by the body under acidic conditions. If the acidity in the stomach is poor, most of it is excreted unused. Organic magnesium (such as magnesium L-pidolate) is absorbed much better and independently of the gastric acid concentration. Nevertheless, magnesium oxide remains one of the best sources of magnesium, which is why we have included it in our preparation.

The magnesium content in most foods is relatively low and therefore it is necessary to regularly eat a varied diet consisting of foods rich in magnesium. Chlorophyll contains magnesium and therefore green vegetables contain a lot of magnesium. Other good sources are nuts, seeds, grains, fish, and beverages like coffee, tea, cocoa, and hard mineral water.
